FRANCES YOUNGBLOOD SPECIAL CARE FUND
We are all deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our friend Frances Youngblood on May 22, 2014. Frances was kind, generous and smart. She carried a special place in her heart for animals in need and it was her passion to help them.
Frances found Luke Hill at TRF Montpelier. Luke couldn’t walk without front shoes. He needed special pads and frequent changes. Frances decided to sponsor Luke and make sure he got the extra care he needed. As soon as she could, Frances moved Luke home to Sunnyside Farm where she could supervise the restoration of his hooves.
Frances always told us she was there for the horses when they had special needs. Recently, a horse named Brush Ahead was bitten by a copperhead. He required extensive veterinary care to manage the treatment of his leg. Frances stepped in to cover his care.
To honor Frances, the Board and volunteers at TRF Montpelier are creating the Frances Youngblood Special Care Fund to continue the availability of support for out of the ordinary expenses required from time to time by the horses.
If you would like to join us in honoring Frances, please mail your tax-deductible donation to TRF Montpelier, P.O. Box 518, Montpelier Station, VA 22957. Please note Frances Youngblood Fund on the memo line. A note acknowledging your gift will be sent to Mike Youngblood.
