Today I set up crossrails all around the ring and we trotted the girls (and Dave) over them all. It was great. Brownie never hesitated, just went along and hopped whatever we pointed her at. Swing too, except the cavaletti without standards on either side didn’t really look like a jump to her. She went over, but gave me an “Are you serious?” on the way up to it.
Red cantered the crossrails! Red can pick up the correct lead on a strightaway! Red is doing simple changes like a champ! I had to say good things about her because she totally bombed clipper therapy. Apparently, she forgot all the work we had done before. Clippers are very scary. About three pounds of peppermints later, she kinda looked like she’d been weedwacked. And I was so annoyed I clipped my initials on her butt. Don’t worry, it’ll grow back.
The Dave Report: Dave was very surprised to find out he had back feet and several times got us stranded mid cross rail while he figured out to get all four on the same side. Seems no one ever mentioned jumping to him before. At any rate, J3 and I made a plan and we’re going back to ground poles for a while.
