Well, it is raining again. Just when everything had started drying out and I thought I was ahead of the mold. At least Saturday was nice when I took Gator hunting. She was fabulous. But I told you that.
Last night I went to the range and practiced shooting skeet. 100 shells and it looks like I’ve gone a round with Mike tyson. Lovely.
Katherine came and took Trustful back. The mare had been returned while K did a bit of “housecleaning,” but now that everything is in order, she found a very lovely barn and came and retrieved the mare. I’m pleased. I know K really missed her horse, because everytime I turned around she was at TRF feeding Trusty treats, or grooming her, or worrying that she needed X, Y or Z.
Kinda makes you smile, doesn’t it?
As J3 had her grandkids up for the weekend, it was inevitable that she get the flu so today I play in the office (which reminds me: I forgot to send Rob the “What I did all week” report yesterday) and finish the Art at the Barn artist profile brochure (my first frustrating attempt at this stuff, but apparently I work a lot cheaper than the pros. I think I get free food at AATB. Along with everyone else there… Hey!), and start updating the adoption books. Hopefully the sun will come out at some point between now and October and I can get a new photo or two (of a large piece of hooved mud, no doubt. Really, it is the thought that counts, right?).
