wacky weather

Thursday we got 2.5 inches of rain between 7 AM and 11 AM. Guess what I was doing? Yep, bringing in horses for the vet. Talk about a downpour! But I am happy to announce that all horses identified as needing dental attention at the last horse inspection (three so far this year people, including the state vet, so be it known: my horses are well watched) have had their teeth floated. I guess that means they’ll get even fatter now.

And now we have a lovely front of high pressure moving through. So, we are going from miserable summer heat and humidity to 50 at night and 70 during the day. Hooray! Perfect horse weather! They will probably get fatter… I don’t think I will have to put out hay at all this winter. Call it a forced diet. Maybe they will be back down in the “Gee, I hope it doesn’t founder” range by February… I have some seriously pudgy ponies. I should put up a picture or two.

Right after I figure out how to update this website. Allegedly, I have Superpowers, and can change things at will. Perhaps, but I don’t have the Superskills that allow me to do that. Basically, I muddle around on the computer for a couple hours, get frustrated and go hug the dog. But the announcement is this: Swing, Red and Brown have been adopted (and need to come off the site), and Teddy and Dunny need to get their furry butts posted.

Same thing up here, except that suddenly summer is over. Supposed to get down to the low 40’s tonite. Ponies should be feeling good.
Give me a call next week so we can endow you with SuperSkills. We don’t just hand that out to everyone, too dangerous! 🙂

Went from Shorts and bare feet to Jeans and socks! Sandy will laugh at me but it got down to 50 last night and I had to get an extra blanket out. Cool and georgeous today!

Still beautiful here! 50s at night and 75-80 during the day.
