Adoptable TRF Horses
Why Adopt a Horse From the TRF? Our “graduates” have gone on to new careers in eventing, jumping, dressage, and pleasure horses. Others are part of equine-assisted therapy programs, play polo, serve in mounted police units, or are simply beloved pets. Whatever you’re looking for, the TRF will help you find the perfect equine partner.
The TRF tries to make the adoption process as easy and as inexpensive as possible, yet must take necessary precautions to make sure that the horses go to a suitable, loving home. The tax-deductible adoption fee, which is non-refundable, can run from a low of $100 to a high of $5,000. After you bring your new horse home, the TRF requires yearly veterinarian reports concerning the horse’s condition and vaccination history. The horse cannot be moved or transferred without TRF approval. Although these safeguards may seem stringent, it is because the TRF makes a commitment to every single horse who enters our program that they will receive the love and care they deserve for the rest of their lives.
